If we can set it up as a true mapped network drive, is there any reason that we can't save our central Revit files to our cloud location and then treat them as we have always done?Īs a question of save times, does Revit upload and download whole project files when it saves to/synchronizes with central? or, does it only push and pull changes? Will synchronizing suddenly take 15 minutes to accomplish with this model or will it be fairly quick? In general, our largest Revit files are 200MB+, but, the majority of them are in the 100MB range or smaller. We will no longer have an office to house our server and we are looking at a model where we have our files stored in a cloud storage such as AWS where we can map the cloud storage as a network drive and hopefully be able to operate in the same way that we have been with our in-house server. Our office, like so many, is moving to a 100% remote office.
